a. Degree  or  equivalent
b. At  least  3-4  years  of  healthcare  experience
Principal  Accountabilities
a. Ensure  departmental  policies  and  procedures,  objectives,  quality,  safety,  environmental  and  infection  control  standards  are  maintained.
b. Ensure  department  records,  reports  and  files  are  maintained.
c. Update  the  team  with  latest  information.
d. Develop  goals  and  objectives  for  the  team.
e. Prepare  necessary  management  reports  as  required  on  a  monthly  basis.
f. Select,  train/orientate,  assign  department  staff,  evaluate  performance  and  make  recommendation  for  personnel  actions.
g. Encourage  and  implement  continuous  quality  improvement.
h. Operate  efficiently  to  reduce  overhead  expenses.
i. Build  good  rapport  with  end  users  to  sustain  the  contracts.
j. Work  with  department  heads  to  co-ordinate  requisitioning,  ordering,  distribution  of  materials  and  supplies  to  ensure  smooth  operation  in  hospital.
k. Plan  and  prepare  departmental  annual  budget.
l. Plan  annual  department  learning  need  (LNA).
m. Do  staff  annual  performance  appraisal.
n. Develop  induction  and  orientation  program  for  all  staffs  to  the  department.
